Rising for Justice’s Celebration of Service honors individuals and organizations that most embody Rising for Justice’s commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of people. The Celebration of Service raises critical funds needed to support our multifaceted programs that build equity and justice for all people in Washington, D.C.
Patrick McGlone is Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at Ullico Inc., an insurance and financial services company. He supervises a staff of twelve attorneys, compliance professionals, and support staff. He is also President of the Ullico Foundation, which funds scholarships to university students from underrepresented, disadvantaged, and minority communities.
Patricia Mullahy Fugere (Patty) co-founded the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless and served as its executive director for more than 30 years. She believes deeply that housing is a human right, and is committed to ensuring that the wisdom and voices of those who experience homelessness or severe housing insecurity are a vital part of the policy conversations that impact their lives.
Marc Morial, an alumnus of Rising for Justice’s clinical legal education program (class of 1983), is the President and CEO of the National Urban League, the nation’s largest historic civil rights and urban advocacy organization, and a leading voice on the national stage in the battle for jobs, education, housing, health, voting rights, equity, and entrepreneurship.
